Khair Ull Nissa Delivers Powerful TEDx Talk on Resilience, Leadership and Global Impact at TEDx Oxford School

Anantnag, May 11:
Khair Ull Nissa, Director at the World Trade Center and a globally recognized business leader from Kashmir, delivered a deeply inspiring talk at the successful TEDx Oxford Presentation School Youth event in Anantnag, captivating the audience with her address on resilience, identity, leadership, and building impact across global ecosystems.

Speaking on her extraordinary journey “From Kashmir to Global Boardrooms,” Khair Ull Nissa shared how her roots in Kashmir shaped her identity and leadership philosophy, even as she rose to work across international business and trade ecosystems influencing global markets.

Describing herself as “a global citizen with a Kashmiri heart and a gypsy spirit,” she reflected on how Kashmir gave her the resilience, dignity, and responsibility that became the foundation of her success.

Khair Ull Nissa also reflected on her entrepreneurial beginnings in Kashmir at just 19 years old, where she pioneered IT and networking ventures in a region where infrastructure was nearly non-existent. Through these efforts, she trained and mentored over 1,500 students, employed dozens of professionals, and created internship and scholarship opportunities for young people.

Her journey, however, was not without setbacks. She candidly spoke about business betrayal, collapse, and reinvention — experiences that led her to pursue higher studies at the University of Leeds and later establish herself in Dubai’s competitive global business ecosystem.

Addressing structural challenges women face in leadership, she spoke with conviction about breaking invisible ceilings in industries where women remain significantly underrepresented.

“Ceilings don’t break with noise. They break with consistency, clarity, and presence.”

Khair Ull Nissa highlighted her work in building global trade and investment ecosystems, helping facilitate large-scale partnerships and enabling startups, MSMEs, and institutions across more than 100 countries.

She also reflected on motherhood as her most transformative leadership journey, emphasizing that true success lies not in titles or achievements, but in raising a generation with courage and compassion.

Closing her talk with a standing ovation-worthy message, she urged young people not to diminish themselves to fit the world’s expectations.

“Don’t shrink who you are to fit into the world. Expand who you are until the world adjusts to you. And every time you break a ceiling, don’t leave broken glass behind — turn it into a door for someone else to walk through.”

Her address was widely appreciated by students, educators, and attendees, standing out as one of the most memorable talks of the TEDx Oxford Presentation School Youth event.
