ICC’s Summit Highlights Path Forward for J&K’s Startup Ecosystem
Srinagar: The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) hosted a significant Startup Summit in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, marking a pivotal moment for the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The event, aptly named “Unveiling the Potential: Rising Jammu and Kashmir, the Land of Opportunities,” aimed to catalyze innovation and investment in one of India’s most strategically located yet underdeveloped regions.
The summit brought together a diverse array of participants, including industry leaders, startup founders, investors, and policy makers. The goal was to foster a collaborative environment where ideas could be shared and new partnerships could be formed, all with the aim of building a robust startup ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
Principal Resident Commissioner, Dr Rashmi Singh, Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, J&K Government, Vikramjeet Singh, Ameya Prabhu, President of the ICC, Nikhil Kanodia Chairman North and Khalid Wani, Chairman of the ICC Jammu Kashmir Chapter among others, members of ICC were present during the day-long event.
Shahid Ansari founder Startup Kashmir, had an in-depth discussion on the development of startup ecosystem in J&K with the delegates and how ICC and Startup Kashmir can collaborate to promote entrepreneurship and startups in the region.
