Srinagar, 29 November 2025: Startup Kashmir, in collaboration with J&K Bank’s Jehangir Chowk Branch, successfully organized the Finance for Founders event today—an initiative aimed at empowering startups with practical financial knowledge and direct banking support.
The session was led by Shahid Ansari, CEO, Startup Kashmir; Khair ul Nisa Shah, Director, Startup Kashmir; and Syed Ishrat Hussain, Branch Head, J&K Bank Jehangir Chowk.
A number of promising startups participated, including Cartzu (Furqan Qureshi), Helixionlink (Rizwan Bashir), Safar Sarthi (Sarwan Kumar), Bilal’s Innovative Solar Automobiles (Bilal Ahmad), Upheld AI (Amir Mir), Harmain Services (Wajahat Dar), among other entrepreneurs. Founders received hands-on guidance on business loans, documentation requirements, financial products, and various government-sponsored schemes tailored for early-stage ventures.
During the session, Syed Ishrat Hussain briefed the participants on key financial schemes and detailed the banking support available for new ventures. He assured full cooperation from his branch in helping startups navigate their financial journey and emphasized how J&K Bank’s services can simplify ease of doing business. He also extended a warm invitation to startups to make use of the branch’s space and resources whenever required.
The event underscored Startup Kashmir’s ongoing commitment to mentorship, improved funding access, and ecosystem development. It also highlighted J&K Bank’s continued efforts to support local entrepreneurs through customized financial solutions.
